Strings and VIPs
Students worldwide are welcomed every year at IDC Herzliya's Lauder School of Government, Diplomacy and Strategy. In its academic programs they get a unique opportunity to study in Israel about Israeli and international policies and foreign affairs, while getting a sense of the life in the Middle East.
Study Program
In the first year of the government B.A. program students must take introductory courses in political thought, the history of Israel and the Middle East. In the following years students may take courses regarding PR and diplomacy, public policy, European history, terrorism, Arab-Israeli relations and conflicts, and much more.
The study program also includes field trips around Israel, especially to Jerusalem in which students will meet leading politicians and army officials. Students may attend numerous workshops during their studies in areas such as conflict resolution, negotiations, presentation skills and public debates. Many students choose to volunteer or intern in various social projects that the IDC is a part of.
Study Structure
The duration of this international B.A. program is three years, and it is taught entirely in English. However, students may elect courses in Hebrew. In the third year almost all courses are elective and students select them based on their field of expertise. These are the available fields:
