The BA in liberal arts available at Tel-Aviv University is open to international students and is taught in English. Study program

This track exposes students to a wide range of disciples from the humanities and social studies. They get an in-depth knowledge of fields such as philosophy, psychology, literature, communications and Israel studies. Through the interdisciplinary studies allow them to develop their critical and creative abilities.

Duration and structure

The liberal arts program is designed to be completed in 3 years. Students are required to choose a major out of several fields - Psychology, psychoanalysis and culture, literature, philosophy, digital culture and communications, modern Jewish and Israeli studies or Middle East studies. They also choose a minor - 4 of the tracks listed above in which to study elective courses, In addition, they are required to take language courses and become proficient in a language other than English.

As part of this study program, students take part in a variety of activities such as study trips to various locations in Israel and other cultural events such as seminars and workshops.

Admission requirements

Applicants for this progrem are required to show a high school diploma and a result in the SAT or ACT exam and the TOEFL English proficiency test. In addition, as part of the application process they need to submit two recommendations from teachers, principals or guidance counselors concerning their academic abilities. They also need to submit a short personal essay.
