At Reichman University (IDC Herzliya), international students can participate in the MA Organizational Behavior and Development (OBD). In this track, professionals and students can gain expertise in important aspects of organizational development, management and leadership. They develop interventions that can be used to improve the function of private and public organizations worldwide.
 
The program puts emphasis on assisting students in developing practical skills necessary for achieving their professional goals and encourage them to explore the different opportunities available. Graduates can choose from a wide set of positions such as HR (human resources) and counselling in profit and non-profit organizations.
 
 

 

 

Study program
 
In this interdisciplinary program, students focus on the interface between organizational behavior, counselling, business administration, social psychology and positive psychology.
 
They learn about organizational processes and systems and develop skills needed to help teams and individuals develop and succeed. During the first year they learn the theoretical basis for understanding organizational dynamics and practice communication and counselling skills. In the second year they focus on the practical aspect of the profession and deepen their understanding of organizational issues.
 

 

 

Structure and duration
 
This program spans 2 years and includes 4 semesters. Courses take place twice a week, during the second year workshops and practicums may require additional study days.
 
In order to assist students in developing their careers and acquainting themselves with current organizational challenges, this program collaborates with many companies that enable students to put theory to practice.
 
The program includes action-oriented learning and professional training. Students take part in intensive workshops and participate in practicums in which they can practice basic counselling and diagnosis skills. During their second year they enter organizations and conduct analysis. The learning experience also encourages dialogue building among students, which can assist in professional development.

Faculty
 
Lecturers in this program are leading scholars in organizational fields, who have vast research and teaching experience in Israel and abroad.
 
The head of the program is a researcher specializing in career development, meaning at work and vocational psychology.
 
Other faculty members’ areas of interest include decision making, leadership, group facilitation, motivation in organizations, organizational learning, positive psychology and more.
 

 

 

Admissions
 
Admission criteria for this program include:
 
- Undergraduate degree from recognized institutions
- GPA of 3.0 and above (80%)
- Interview (in person or via Zoom)
- All applicants must have passed prerequisite courses with a grade of 70 and above: Introduction to psychology, research methods in social sciences, statistics in social sciences, introduction to social psychology
- English proficiency: TOEFL or IELTS grade is required from non-English speaking high-school graduates
 

 

 

Diploma
 
Graduates of this program receive an M.A. degree in organizational behavior and development.
