MA HCI- MA Computer Science Interaction at Reichman University (IDC Herzliya)
 
The MA in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) at Reichman University (IDC Herzliya) is offered by the miLAB of media innovation and the ARL Advanced Reality Lab at the school of communications. In this program, students are provided with skills and methodologies required for leading user-centered products in high-tech companies, interactive experience in design companies and research at academic institutions and innovation labs.
 
The program is suitable for international and Israeli professionals and students who wish to broaden their horizons and learn to lead new interactive experiences and products. In this track, students from many academic backgrounds can study together, create networking, and gain skills for furthering their careers. Different career paths include UI /UX, product innovation, interaction design and other roles dealing with leading new products to fulfill user needs.
 

 

 

Study program
 
Students gain knowledge and practical skills in design and research methodologies necessary for user-centered product innovation. They master tools such as user centered product design, service design, user research, UI/UX, technology prototyping and research of human-computer interactions.
 
 

 

 

Structure and duration
 
This program is conducted in English. It spans a full year and is designed to suit working professionals. The program comprises 3 semesters. Studies take place twice a week, those who wish to add additions studies may do so on additional days free of charge at the lab’s prototyping workshops.
 
The program puts emphasis on “learning by doing” and project-based learning. Students take part in workshops and projects in design workshops and research labs in which they can practice 3D printing, prototyping with code, UX design and other skills. They can select their areas of focus and receive the support and assistance of mentors from the university and industry.
 
In addition, students gain practical experience at start ups such as Amazon, Snapchat, Elbit, Microsoft and more, as well as at international academic research laboratories.

Faculty
 
Faculty comprises renowned researchers in the field of human-computer interaction. Among the faculty members’ fields of interest: UX/UI strategy, VR, brain-tech, digital ethics, children’s technology, and more innovative topics.
 

 

 

Admissions
 
This program is suitable for professionals and students from a wide range of backgrounds, such as computer science, design, engineering, psychology, architecture, UX UI, communications, art, information systems and more.
 
Application requirements include:
 
- Undergradute degree from recognized institution in the following fields: computer science, engineering, design, art, psychology, media, information systems, architecture.
- GPA of 85% and above. For thesis track: GPA of 87% and above
- English proficiency: graduates of non-English speaking high-schools must pass an English proficiency test such as TOEFL, IELTS or the Israeli Psychometric exam.

 

 

 
Diploma
 
Graduates receive an MA degree in Human-Computer Science Interaction.
