Hi! I followed my husband who is doing a postdoc for the academic year of 2019-2020 at Tel Aviv University. As such, he has a A2 visa (student). I have an A4 (wife) visa, with a mention "Not Permitted to Work". I hold two Master degrees in my country. I would like to work in Israel for the time being here. I intensively searched on the Internet on this subject, and I gathered very different info here and there. Some say it's not possible to work as the wife of a student with an A4 visa, some say it's possible, it depends on the good will of the Ministry of Interior (but this information seems outdated on many sites). What's the correct walk through? Should I go to the Ministry of Interior first and ask for a change in my visa conditions, or should I search for a work sponsor, do the interviews, and then go to the Ministre of Interior? Or... should I resolve myself to stay home? This is very complicated for foreigners, and I know I am not the only wife / partner in this situation, so I thank you very much in advance!

Working in Israel with an A4 Visa
Hello Karen,
I'm sorry but as we don't have a legal team working with subjects like yours my only advise for you is to contact a lawyer - I don;t think you should ask other wives or other people who don;t have a full understanding in this field.
