Is working part time allowed while studying a Hebrew course at the university?

Hello, I am thinking about taking Hebrew language classes at an institution in Israel. But since I have to cover my expenses I may have to find a job of some sort. Would I be able to get a study visa for hebrew classes at an Ulpan or does it have to be a known institution such as a university or college? Also, in case it is possible to work part-time are there any restrictions on the job field, hours and so on? Many thanks in advance!

Working and funding Hebrew Courses
Hello Kristi,
Are you interested in Hebrew courses as a new immigrant (Olah Chadasha) or as an international or visiting student in Israel? Funding and tuition depend on the student's status, since Olim usually receive funding or financial support as part of their absorption basket.
As for international students studying here in Israel, there are several options, such as courses at universities. Certain Ulpan also allow international students that are not Olim to take part in their programs, but not all of the Ulpans do.
As far as I know you will be able to have a part time job in both kinds of courses. However, since entering Ulpan courses is conducted via the ministry of absorption and immigration, I would advise you to contact the ministry and make sure they indeed allow part time jobs. In the courses in universities, I believe part time jobs shouldn't be a problem but again would advise you to make sure by contacting the universities directly. You can find such courses at many different universities such as The Hebrew University (Jerusalem), Tel Aviv University, Haifa University and more. In addition, most universities offer scholarships to students the meet the criteria. This might also help you with during your studying.
I have attached a link below my answer with more information on Hebrew courses in both Ulpan and universities, as well as tuition fees. I hope this information is useful.
