Hi,i am from Azerbaijan.I am in 5 th year of medicine in my own country.I wonder which plan i should follow for residency in israel.I have readen a couple of times from website. But one thing i cant understand how i can apply to internship programme.First i have to give imle, then exam for my own specialty,or vice versa?Because i read about limuted permit and here it was said that it is not given for intership given only for physicians who want wo specialize. So as a briefly after graduation, what must i do step by step?

Residency in Israel for international students
Hello Ruqiyye,
Each teaching hospital in Israel have different requirements from his candidates for a residency program. You can choose between a few teaching hospitals which offer international programs: Soroka in Beer Sheva, Tel Hashomer-Shiba in Tel Aviv, Ziv in Sefad, Rambam and Carmel in Haifa, Hadassah Ein Karem and Hadassah Mount Scopus in Jerusalem, Barzilai in Askelon and more.
You'll have to contact each hospital directly to find out if there is an opening for a residency and if you are meeting the requirement. You should know that it's usually harder to get into a program in the hospitals in the center of Israel and in Jerusalem - the hospitals outside of those place are usually in search of great doctors and are more open.
Best regards, Noa
