Hi, my name is Ben and I am a rising senior at Duke University in the USA. I am interested in Law School in Israel, but first would like to do service in the IDF after I graduate in 2020. Can I apply to a law school, and if I get accepted put it on hold until after the army service?

Law school in Israel
Hello Ben,
The army in Israel works differently than in the USA - if you volunteer for a service you can't put it on hold because you got accepted to the university. If you're between 22-27 you will have to finish at least 18 months of service once you'll start. And if you get accepted to law school it's pretty much the same thing - You will have to start school, otherwise you lose your spot and you will have to re apply.
