Free Courses about Israeli culture or history

Hello, i am hosting a student from England for the summer. He loves history and would be very happy if he could join some course, he is not after credits just to learn and to meet people. I remember when i first came to Israel and had no visa to work or study i would go to Tel aviv University for couses in english about Israel. Are there such things still? I looked online and couldn't find anything for free, or a reasonable fee. Please any info would be much appreciated.
