I was hoping for some advice or direction with regards to studying Hebrew in Israel. I’m an Australian citizen too, so I will need to look at visa requirements at some stage.
I am a complete beginner and would love to learn Hebrew intensively - but longer than 3 weeks (not an Ulpan) - I’d like to spend a little longer so that I have a good command for basic spoken language and reading/writing.
I’ve been told that the HUJ is the best place to study at for this - can you advise if there are any programs I should be aware of??
Thank you!

Hebrew studies in Israel
Hello Zoe,
There are a few schools and institutions in Israel which offer different Hebrew courses to international students and/or visitors. Among those institutions: Ulpan Kibbutzim that takes place in no less than 8 different kibbutzim in Israel, The Hebrew University, Levinsky College and more. Most schools offer you the chance to get a student visa so there's no problem with this.
Each one of those institutions offers a different program which takes around 4-5 weeks (at least - can also be longer if you wish) so I've attached a link at the end of my message to an article about the different programs you can choose from and i advise you to contact those that are relevant to you directly to get all the information you need about the admission, fees and any other information you may need.
