I'm interested in spending a semester or a year taking engineering-related courses next year ('18/'19) before I begin my undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering in the US in the fall of '19. What programs might work for me? FYI, I was accepted to Technion's gap year and was recently notified that they cancelled it for next year.

Hello Joe,

As far as i know, Israeli universities does not offer special gap year programs but you can try and contact the different schools and institutions which offer engineering studies and ask the to be what they call " Free listener" in a few courses.
Among the schools you can find The Technion in Haifa, The bEn Gurion University in Beer Sheva,
The Tel Aviv University and The University of Haifa.
