I would like to enquire about the admission requirements for students coming from educational systems other than the American one. I am a First Year Medicine student at Munich University (LMU) and would be interested in completing my studies at Ben Gurion University. Can the German "Physikum" (Basic medical examination, sat after the two first years of medical studies) be considered equivalent or sufficient for applying for the M.D program? Or is it otherwise possible to transfer to this program from my current studies? Thank you in advance for any information, Leonie Litzka

Admission for MD programs in Israel
Hello Leonie,
In order to study medicine you must first finish your premed studies abroad because there are no premed international programs in Israel. There are a few institutions which offer medical programs, among them: The Tel Aviv University, The Hebrew University, The University of Haifa, the Ben Gurion University and more. In order to study medicine in Israel you must first complete your pre med studies. Candidates need to present a GPA of at least 3.4. and MCAT scores (or their equivalent in case students are not from the US) with scores of above 27.
I've attached a link at the end of my message to an article about the different schools you can choose from and the admission for international students.
