I am a Kenya resident in Canada. I am looking forwarding to returning back home to take over my aging parents 5o acre farm in Kenya that is currently holding some dairy cows, sheep and some potato farming. I want to revamp the farm by employing modern mechanised farming so that it can become a model farm for the surrounding community who don't understand how farming can become a profitable business like any other business in the city. I look forward to learn more about dairy, sheep, bee keeping, potato onions and garlic (integrated farming) with an emphasis on value addition since most of the local farmers sell their products raw receiving meagre earnings from the said sales. I don't mind if the training can be broken into dairy and sheep, then bee keeping and later a specialisation on crop related plants I am looking at programs that offer hands on training of 1-6months with field experience in small farming enterprises. Kindly regards Patrick

Short term courses in Israel
Hello Patrick,
There are a few institutions in Israel which offer different short term courses and training programs in the field of agriculture, among them you can find: The Arava Institute, The Golda Meir Training Center, The Center of International Agriculture Development Cooperation and more.
Each school and institute have a different program, some of the programs could be shorter or longer than others and some offer scholarships to international students so I've attached a link a at the end of my message that will send you to an article about the different schools, institutes and programs you can choose from and hopefully help you find the best one for you. I advise you to contact all of them to get the most information.
