I have a strong interest in doing a master in food security in Israel especially in dry areas where modern technology is used.
I am a Kenyan student currently due to graduate on 14th Dec 20-16. I was doing Bachelor of science food, nutrition and dietetics and hoping to for second upper class.
Having came from northern Kenya( Wajir county) where there is no enough rain for farming there is need for innovation. now that we have county government several boreholes were drilled but still food security is an issue. My main interest lies in acquiring knowledge on drip irrigation, green house and any other simple and cost effective technology to improve food production in my area.
I will be grateful if you can give me any supportive information on this subject. thanks

Food security master
Hello Omar,
As far as i know, there is no master degree program in food security. But, there is a master degree program in agricultural sciences.
There are a few institutions in Israel which offer different MSc programs in agriculture sciences for international students, among them: The Ben Gurion University of the Negev in Beer Sheva, The Weizmann Institute of Science in Rehovot and The Hebrew University in Jerusalem.
In order to apply for a master program in agriculture in Israel candidates must present a first degree in biology, biotechnology, agriculture, animal sciences, food sciences or any of the related fields with a GPA of 80 or more. In cases students are not from an English speaking country, they will have to take an English proficiency test like TOEFL or IELTS. Candidates must submit three letters of recommendation, and relevant experience is the field of agriculture.
I've attached a link at the bottom of my message where you can find a link, once you'll click it, it will send you to an article about the different programs you can choose from and more information about the admission, institutions and more.
