I am an Oleh Hadash from Canada. I am 23 years old. I have a degree in biomedical science (2.9 GPA) from York University in Canada. It has been 2 years since i have completed university. I worked at a various pharmaceutical companies in Canada and Israel, and slowly my heart started reaching out towards medical school. I definitely plan on staying in Israel and would love for the opportunity to be a doctor in the IDF in the future. What course of action would I need to take ? How would I go about overcoming my deficit in GPA?

Study medicine in Israel after a degree in biomedical sciences
Hello Jacob,
In general, if you want to study medicine in Israel you must first complete your pre med studies. Candidates need to present a GPA of at least 3.4. and MCAT scores (or their equivalent in case students are not from the US) with scores of above 27.
There are a few institutions in Israel that offer medical study programs for international students, among them: The Tel Aviv University, The Hebrew University, The University of Haifa, the Ben Gurion University and more.
Because of your experience and knowledge i advise you to contact the different institutions directly through their websites to find out if you can apply even if you haven't finished pre med studies.
