Short Courses in Agriculture
I am at the moment a Geologist in the Oil industry (Fluids Engineering). However with the downturn in the Industry and nearing retirement, I am planning to diversify into Agriculture but have only a rudiment Knowledge. I am planning to go into full commercial farming and identifying the most lucrative. However I will love to be well trained before venturing into the commercial farming.

There are a few institutions in Israel that offer short courses in agriculture, among them: The Arava Institute, The Golda Meir Training Center, The Center of International Agriculture Development Cooperation and more.
Most institutions will ask you to have previous academic or professional experience in the field so i advise you to contact them directly so they could offer you a program for people without any background in agriculture.

Regarding a scholarship you'll have to contact them directly because they don't make it public knowledge.
