Hello, Our daughter is currently enrolled in community college in California. She is starting her second semester of her first year. She spent last year in Israel on a gap year program. We are looking for better opportunities for her in terms of her college education. She has interest in teaching/education as well as psychology. Could you please help us with programs and information regarding this? What are the requirements, cost, etc? Is military service mandatory for those who choose to study in Israel? Any and all information would be greatly appreciated. Thank You!

International Psychology and Education Studies
Hello Brian,
You can find a bachelor’s degree in psychology conducted in English at Reichman University in Herzliya. In addition, Yeshiva University offers a degree in psychology and Jewish studies that takes place both in Jerusalem and New York. Moreover, you can find international programs in education (B.Ed bachelor’s degree) in institutions such as Herzog College and Gordon College.
Regarding credit transfer, I would advise you to contact the academic institutions directly to inquire whether your daughter’s previous studies are recognized. Regarding military service, if your daughter is planning on making Aliyah, I would advise you to contact the Ministry of Aliyah and Integration, they will be able to further inform you about the duration of service required for her, considering her age, arrival date in Israel, etc.
I have attached a link at the bottom of my answer to an article with more information about psychology studies in Israel, admission requirements, tuition, and more.
