Hello, I’m planning on applying for the psychology program this upcoming spring. My grades from high school were not very high and I never took the SATs. I’m planning on doing the Mechina at Bar Ilan university starting in October and I have to choose which level of math I’ll be doing. What is required for admission into the Psychology program? And also will I have to do my SATs as well as the Mechina to be accepted into the Psychology program?
Thank you, Talia

Level of Math for Psychology Studies
Hello Talia,
The “Mechina” program (a preparatory program for new immigrants) at Bar Ilan includes courses in mathematics, according to the application requirements at the psychology department. To my understanding, mathematics is studied at a level of 4 or 5 “Yechidot Limud” according to the Israeli Bagruyot (matriculation exams). Most International programs in psychology offered in Israeli universities and colleges require this level of math. However, since application requirements may vary, I would advise you to contact the academic institutions directly and inquire about the required level of math. Meanwhile, you can read more about international psychology studies in Israel (the link is below my answer).
