Hello, I am a 4th year college student in New York. I recently decided to look into applying to medical schools in Israel, but I am concerned about how that translates to one day having a residency in the USA. I have a lot of questions about choosing a medical school that is right for me, and how to apply. I am seeking someone to talk to, and more information about these programs. Please let me know if there are any resources available. Thank you very much.

Medical school in Israel
Hello Sarah,
In order to study medicine you must first finish your premed studies abroad because there are no premed international programs in Israel. There are a few institutions which offer medical programs, among them: The Tel Aviv University, The Hebrew University, The University of Haifa, the Ben Gurion University and more. In order to study medicine in Israel you must first complete your pre med studies. Candidates need to present a GPA of at least 3.4. and MCAT scores (or their equivalent in case students are not from the US) with scores of above 27. Once you'll finish here' if you want to work in the US you'll have to complete several tests (USMLE - all steps) so i'm not sure it's the right thing for you if the plan is to come and only study here - without starting your carrer. I've attached a link at the end of my message to an article about the different schools you can choose from and the admission for international students. Regarding the scholarships you'll have to contact the schools directly as each of them offer different options.
