Shalom! My Name is Mathilde Belhassen, I am 20 years old and I am going to make Aliyah from Austria this year. I received my high school diploma last june and as a jew, I want to continue to study and live in Israel. German and French are my mother tongues and moreover my english is on a very high level. Furthermore, I understand, read and write hebrew, but not enough to study on university level. Which study possibilities do I have as an olah hadasha? Is it to possible to study in English and only a little bit in hebrew? Thank you very much for your help! I really appreciate it! Yours sincerely, Mathilde Belhassen

studies possibilities as an olah hadasha
Hello Mathilde,
As an Ola Hadasha, you can first finish an Hebrew program at the Ulpan and than you could apply for a normal program at the university. As far as i know, the only programs that will fit you if you're not planing on finishing an Ulpan first are special programs for foreigners. There are a few schools which offer courses that might fit you, among them: Ulpan Kibbutzim that takes place in no less than 8 different kibbutzim in Israel, The Hebrew University, Levinsky College and more. Each one of those institutions offers a different program which takes around 4-5 weeks (at least - can also be longer if you wish) so I've attached a link at the end of my message to an article about the different programs you can choose from and i advise you to contact those that are relevant to you directly to get all the information you need about the admission, fees and any other information you may need.
