I will be retiring in the first part of 2019 and am interesting in spending up to 6 months in Israel learning Hebrew, connecting with my family, and deepening my Jewish roots. I am not at this time interested in making aliyah.
In looking through your web pages, I have not found any programs that are oriented to my needs - there is an understandable focus on youth programs. Do you have any programs that would be geared to my interests? If not, do you have any recommendations on where to find one?
In addition to ulpan, I seek housing, ideally in an Israeli home, but also possibly with other older students such as myself. (I am 63 years old.)
Todah rabah!

Hebrew courses for retired people
Hello Daniel,
There are a few schools and institutions in Israel which offer different Hebrew courses to international students and/or visitors. Among those institutions: Ulpan Kibbutzim that takes place in no less than 8 different kibbutzim in Israel, The Hebrew University, Levinsky College and more. Keep in mind, age doesn't really matter and you can learn at any age.
Each one of those institutions offers a different program which takes around 4-5 weeks (at least - can also be longer if you wish) so I've attached a link at the end of my message to an article about the different programs you can choose from and i advise you to contact those that are relevant to you directly to get all the information you need about the admission, fees and any other information you may need.
