I have an honours degree in Psychology from the University of Cape Town. I completed this in 1994 but went on to do other things,
In South Africa you do your BA, then an Honours program (1 year) and then finish with your Masters.
It is many years since I completed it, but I was thinking about completing my MA in psychology here in Israel - what I might need to do in order to complete it? WIll I get credits for my honours work?

MA in Psychology in Israel
Hello Yonatan,
In Israel the system is a bit different - you do your BA for 3 years (sometimes 4 depends on your field of studies) and than you can move to an MA that last 2 years. We don't have an honors program so i don't think they can accept it in Israel, at least not all of what you did in that year. You did not say if you want to study in Hebrew or English so i'll tell you there are more institutes that offer that program in Hebrew but the admission is extremely difficult, students must present a BA in psychology with a grade of 90 or more and pass another test and than, maybe they could be accepted. You can find the English MA program in The Bar ilan University, The Tel Aviv University, The Hebrew University and more. Admission is also not easy because you need to pass a few interviews and tests and the English TOEFL test as well. I advise you to decide first if you want to study in Hebrew or English and than contact the institutes directly to understand exactly what you need to do to start the program.
