There is a wide variety of scholarships available for master’s programs in Israel. Scholarships tend to vary according to the study program. What type of program are you interested in? Is there a specific subject you have in mind?

If you are interested in master’s programs for international students, most universities in Israel offer scholarships suitable for international students, some are needs-based while others are merit-based. In addition, scholarships vary according to one’s country of origin and are offered by governments and non-academic organizations.

If you are interested in master’s programs for new Olim (new immigrants to Israel), there is an extensive support system available for Olim students. Olim may be eligible for financial support from the Ministry of Aliyah and Absorption which can amount to full tuition (one must comply with all Ministry of Aliyah criteria to receive these scholarships). In addition, Olim students can receive financial support from the academic institution, from their municipality in Israel, and from various Jewish organizations and initiatives which support Olim.

Applying for scholarships is usually conducted via the academic institution, or in Olim students’ case, via the Student Authority at The Ministry of Aliyah or one’s Aliyah advisor.
