Scholarships and Financial Aid for New Olim

New immigrants to Israel (Olim) are eligible for various scholarships during their academic studies. Some of these scholarships are provided by the Israeli Student Authority in the Ministry of Aliyah, however, please note that these scholarships are usually only granted to Olim who begin their studies within the first 36 months of making Aliyah. Since you made Aliyah around 2.5 years ago, I would advise you to contact The Ministry of Aliyah to inquire whether you will still comply with the eligibility criteria for their assistance (depending on when you plan to begin your studies).

Moreover, Olim can receive scholarships from other sources, such as the Ministry of defense (“From uniform to studies” program for discharged combat soldiers), The municipality in which you are currently living, and non-academic providers including organizations such as HIAS, Heseg, Anieres, and more.
