Hi, I'm an aspiring General Surgeon that is about to do my pre med studies and is willing to permanently work in Israel as a Doctor. What should be my academic requirements as a International Med student to be able to Work in Israel? Ive read that Israel stopped offering medical courses to Foreign students this year onwards. What measures should I take?

Hi San,

As far as I know none of the universities that have a medical program accepts International students. If you want to do your residency in Israel after you finish Medical school I suggest you contact each of the teaching hospitals and check with them if you will meet their requirement.

The teaching hospitals which offer international programs are: Soroka in Beer Sheva, Tel Hashomer-Shiba in Tel Aviv, Ziv in Sefad, Rambam and Carmel in Haifa, Hadassah Ein Karem and Hadassah Mount Scopus in Jerusalem, Barzilai in Askelon and more.
