I am a teacher, currently on Sabbatical leave, and I would love to learn Hebrew. Ideally I think I'd like to attend intensive university classes, but stay with a host family to consolidate and develop my language acquisition. I have until the end of 2016 in which to study. Jerusalem is my favourite venue.

Study Hebrew in Jerusalem
Hello Sandra,
There are a few institutions which offer Hebrew classes and programs in Jerusalem' among them: The Hebrew University, Conservative Yeshiva, Milah Ulpan, Ulpan Aviv, Ulpan Or and more. I don't know if any of them offer a host and study program in that area but there is a program like you've mentions in Ramat Yishai - Home Ulpan I've attached a link at the end of my message to an article about the different courses and institutions you can choose from and i advise you to contact at least some of the institutions in Jerusalem to find out if they offer a similar program to the one in Ramat yishai.
