Medicine and engineering studies in Israel
Hello Joseph,
The Tel Aviv university offers both engineering and medicine studies for international students but the admission between each program is very different. In order to study medicine you must first finish your premed studies abroad because there are no premed international programs in Israel. In order to study medicine in Israel you must first complete your pre med studies. Candidates need to present a GPA of at least 3.4. and MCAT scores (or their equivalent in case students are not from the US) with scores of above 27.
There are a few schools in Israel which offer Bsc engineering programs, among them: The Technion - Israel's Institute of Technology in Haifa, The Tel Aviv University and ORT Braude College in Karmiel.
In order to apply all institutions require standardized test (such as SAT or ACT or AST or Gau Kao),
in cases when the candidates are not native English speakers they will have to take an English proficiency test such as TOEFL. The TOEFL score needs to be 580 or above. All institutions also take into consideration the candidates high school average, and special attention is given to their grades in math and physics.
For more information i advise you to contact the school directly.
