LL.B. in Law - Ono International School

The LL.B. in Law at Ono International School allows students to begin their professional journey as lawyers with a global perspective by studying in a dynamic legal and business environment. The program provides students with the knowledge and tools needed by modern legal professionals for navigating transnational matters, and emphasizes analytical reasoning, negotiation, problem-solving, and clear written and oral communication. Ono’s School of Law combines academic excellence with a career-focused approach and strong industry connections.

Where will the program take place?

The LL.B program is based at Ono’s main campus in Kiryat Ono, Israel.

What will you study?

The LL.B. program is designed for Olim, international students, and globally minded applicants seeking a rigorous legal education with a foundation in Israeli, comparative, and international law. Studies combine academic depth with practical training to prepare students to operate across various legal systems and jurisdictions. Students gain the doctrinal foundation of an Israeli law degree while also developing the skills needed to work in global markets.

The program allows international students and Israeli students to study together. In the first year of studies, the core curriculum is taught in English. The program includes a Hebrew Ulpan designed especially for future lawyers.

In addition, the program includes bar exam preparation courses. These courses (which are fully integrated in the program and included in tuition) prepare for both the Israeli and New York bar exams.

Hands-On Learning and Internships

The hands-on learning integrated in this program allows students to apply legal theory to real-world practice. The program includes internships and law clinics especially designed for international students, which allow students to gain practical experience in legal research, problem-solving, and advocacy while engaging with real clients, institutions, and legal challenges.

Moreover, students gain exposure to leading law firms via workshops and study tours, which grant them an opportunity for networking and introduce them to positions in international departments.

What is the duration of the program?

The LL.B. program spans 4 years. Each academic year comprises two 12-week semesters: the fall semester (November-February) and the spring semester (April-June).

This is a full-time study program. Studies include a Hebrew Ulpan to support students’ integration into Israeli academic and professional life. Students may take three semesters of Zoom-based learning.

Who is the program for?

The program is designed for motivated international applicants who wish to pursue a rigorous legal education in English, with a strong foundation in Israel and a global orientation. In addition, the program is suitable for Olim (new immigrants to Israel) and internationally trained applicants who wish to build a familiarity with the Israeli legal system and gain an Israeli bar qualification, while also maintaining a comparative and international legal perspective. It should be noted that students are not required to commit to bar qualification at the time of admission.
